Super+Metro Corridor: Indore of 2047 on the track of development

The area near the airport was earlier considered the outskirts of the city, but now it has become special. First the super corridor and now the metro corridor have given it this status. Along with multinational companies, Madhya Pradesh's largest startup park is about to take shape here. Soon you will see sky-touching buildings on the main road. In the last 2-3 years, more than 100 new colonies have come up in this area.

The nearly 11 km long super corridor from Lavkush Square to Gandhi Nagar Depot is now being seen as the next level of Indore. After the trial run of the metro, people's perspective of looking at this part has changed. Now there is a crowd of people here every day. The six-lane super corridor was built by IDA to connect the airport to Sanwer Road and Indore-Bhopal bypass.

IDA's five schemes, development works worth Rs 1500 crore

Along with building the super corridor, IDA launched five schemes on about 1,01,415 hectares of land here. A lot of money was also spent on development works. IDA built service roads along the main super corridor, developed green belts, and made approach roads to reach the schemes. IDA developed basic facilities and now new colonies are growing rapidly. The situation is that colonies are being built after diversion of agricultural land about 5 km inside the main part of the super corridor. The guideline is about Rs 1000 per square feet, but plots are being sold for a minimum of 5000 square feet. IDA built about 32.81 km of roads in five schemes and installed electricity poles. IDA has spent Rs 1457 crore in developing five schemes.

Big companies, colleges and now commercial centres
The government has given land to TCS and Infosys on the Super Corridor and their units have also started. Thousands of people are getting employment. Land was given to many colleges, some have also started. Now there are plans to build big hotels and commercial centres here. Private companies have bought plots ranging from 50 thousand square feet to 1.5 lakh square feet on the main road here. Soon the work of building new buildings will start here.

Demand for Hi-Tech Super City and Covered Colonies
Private developers are planning to bring a Hi-Tech Super City worth Rs. 300 crore on the Super Corridor. Hi-Tech City will be built with robotic security system. Along with this, covered colonies are also coming here with full facilities. Recently, a big group launched a covered colony, which got booked in two days. Every day, a large number of people are coming here to get information about the plots. A team of colonizers is deployed to give information. Preparations are on for the commercial run of Metro in May. After this, there will be more speed here.

Traffic, greenery, electricity and water facilities
Any city is identified by its airport and the Super Corridor has attracted outsiders visiting the airport. Big companies, big projects and new colonies are developing in this area. For better development, work will have to be done by making such planning.

Traffic: The Super Corridor is a wide road, the Metro Corridor has also come. Colonies are growing nearby, which will increase traffic pressure. It is necessary to make planning from now onwards and make arrangements at the intersections so that there is ease in going to the colonies and the people living there can travel safely.

Greenery: The colonies are developing, other development is also happening. Planting of saplings will have to be done and planning will have to be done for their care till they grow up.

Electricity and water: A plan will have to be made to supply Narmada water to the new colonies. How long will people depend on underground water? There is no proper drainage system for rainwater on the Super Corridor. This causes problems to those going to the airport. This also needs to be resolved.

Focus on basic amenities

According to IDA CEO RP Ahirwar, along with developing the area of ​​Super Corridor, focus is on basic amenities there. Roads have been built in the schemes, other arrangements are being made. Street lights have not been installed in some areas yet, for which work is being done. Other new works will also be started soon.
